Volunteer Engagement

Provide stipends to cover transportation and meals for low-income volunteers, funded through the resource mobilization strategy’s “Local Philanthropy” stream.

Implement a recognition program, including annual awards for outstanding volunteers, public acknowledgment during community events, and certificates endorsed by Yobe State Ministries.

Create Volunteer Circles—small peer-support groups that meet monthly to share experiences, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate successes. These circles will foster camaraderie and reduce isolation.

Offer leadership pathways: High-performing volunteers will be invited to join the Foundation’s Advisory Council or transition into paid roles as community liaisons or program assistants.
